WHAT IS EDUCATION? WHAT ROLE DOES THE SCHOOL NEED TO PLAY IN A STUDENT'S EDUCATION?

"Education" involves the elements and tools needed to succeed in society. Education also includes goal making, concept mastering, and learning discovery. The school’s primary responsibility is to educate students. Getting students prepared for the next grade level, and eventually – adult society, should be the sole concern of schools. Secondly, schools also provide a social environment for students. So many concepts about communication, friendship, authority, relationships, etc. come from learning it at school. Many people would probably argue that this is not the school’s responsibility, but it indeed is. Undoubtedly, schools need to be aware of their demographics of students. Another responsibility of schools is to be a safe haven for its students. All too often, so many students come to school as a way to escape their home or neighborhood environments. It is imperative that students feel safe in their learning environments.
